Race Description
The WTOL River Run is set to take place on July 4, 2025, in downtown Toledo, Ohio. This annual event features both a 5K and a traditional 10K race, offering an exciting opportunity for runners of all fitness levels to participate on Independence Day. Runners will start and finish at the iconic WTOL 11 building on Summit Street, taking in scenic views of the Maumee River along the way.
This year's event introduces a standalone 5K in addition to the traditional 10K. Participants can expect a prize purse totaling $2,700 for the 10K, along with complimentary Saucony shoes for first place winners in each age group. The race promises to be a spirited celebration of America’s birthday, set against the backdrop of the newly developed Glass City Metro Park.
