Race Description
The 2nd annual Wagging Tails on the Trails 5K Race is set to take place on February 1, 2025, at Pepper Park Riverside in Fort Pierce, Florida. The race, starting at 7:30 a.m., features a flat, hard-packed trail that meanders through mangroves and lush hammocks along the Indian River Lagoon, making it an appealing route for both runners and their canine companions.
Participants can look forward to various perks with their registration, including a T-shirt, a finisher medal, and a chip-timed race bib. The event is notably dog-friendly, allowing participants to bring their leashed pets along for the run, and offers a Puppy Dash for kids under 10. All proceeds will benefit the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Department K9 unit, enhancing the event's community impact.
