Race Description
The Ugly Sweater 5K in Canajoharie is set to take place on December 7, 2024, as a part of the Elves Day Out celebration. Participants are encouraged to wear their ugliest holiday sweaters for this festive run along the Erie Canal bike trail. This event promises a lively atmosphere with prizes awarded to the top finishers across various age groups and a range of activities scheduled post-race.
Organized by Montgomery County Tourism and the Canajoharie-Palatine Bridge Chamber of Commerce, the race will kick off at 10:00 a.m., with pre-registration available for $25, and day-of-registration opening at 8:00 a.m. for $30. Walkers are welcome, provided they complete the course within an hour. In addition to the run, attendees can enjoy crafts, food, and various activities for children, including a parade and a visit from Santa, making this a family-friendly event.
