Race Description
Eddy County CASA is thrilled to announce the upcoming annual Ugly Sweater 5K Run & Walk scheduled for Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 8 am. This family-friendly event invites participants of all ages and fitness levels to don their ugliest holiday sweaters and enjoy a scenic run, jog, or stroll along the beautiful beachfront paths in Carlsbad, NM. The event marks the start of the city's Christmas celebrations and promises a jovial atmosphere for all attendees.
Proceeds from the Ugly Sweater 5K benefit Eddy County CASA, a nonprofit organization that advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the court system. In addition to supporting a worthy cause, participants also have the chance to win prizes for the top male and female finishers and for the ugliest sweater contest. After the race, all finishers can enjoy hot chocolate and holiday treats to celebrate their accomplishments.
