Race Description
The White Thunder Skimo Classic is set to make its debut as a two-day skimo race on January 17th and 18th, 2025, held at Maverick Mountain in Polaris, Montana. This event, organized by Big Sky Skimo in partnership with Maverick Mountain, promises to be a thrilling competition for skimo enthusiasts.
On January 17th, the vert race will kickoff at approximately 4:45 PM, featuring a climb of about 1250 vertical feet, with timing only for the ascent. The following day, January 18th, will host the individual races starting at 7:00 AM, featuring both short and long course options to cater to competitors' varying skills, with climbing challenges of up to 3750 feet.
