Race Description
The Great Santa Race is set to take place on December 6, 2024, in Pickens, South Carolina. Participants are encouraged to dress in festive Christmas-themed costumes, aligning with the holiday spirit and the concurrent Pickens Christmas Parade. The race will close Main St. to traffic, creating a perfect environment for both competitive and fun racing.
Competitors can earn cash prizes of $50 for the first Santa and Mrs. Clause to cross the finish line. The race is designed to be approximately one mile in length along the parade route, and emerging registration numbers may increase the cash awards. Participants are required to be in costume to be eligible for prizes, highlighting the event's festive atmosphere.
