Race Description
The SRC Presents: A Backyard Ultra is set to take place at Blydenburgh County Park in Hauppauge, NY, starting on December 14, 2024. This unique ultra-event challenges participants to run 4.167 miles every hour, testing their endurance rather than speed. The event promises to bring together the running community and raises funds for the Long Island Greenbelt Trail Conference to support trail maintenance.
Participants can pick up their bibs at Smithtown Running Company prior to race day. On race morning, bib pickup will start at 6:45 AM at the start/finish line area, but no on-site sign-ups will be available on the morning of the race. This event is an exciting opportunity for ultra and trail runners looking for a new challenge in Long Island's running culture.
