Race Description
The 41st Anniversary of the Sportspectrum Firecracker 5k Race for Research is set to take place on July 4, 2025, at Mall St. Vincent in Shreveport, Louisiana. This annual event, sponsored by the Spine Institute of Louisiana Foundation, aims to raise funds for spine research while honoring the memory of three friends who were passionate about running and outdoor activities.
Participants can register for the 5k race at various prices depending on the date of registration, with an expected attendance at this scenic route through the historic South Highland neighborhood. The event will also feature a Kids 1/2 mile fun run, assuring that children aged 10 and under receive medals. In addition to the races, there will be a post-race celebration with food and drinks, including hot dogs, hamburgers, and local brews, fostering a spirit of community and celebration on this patriotic holiday.
