Race Description
The Southern Cross Open Water event is set to take place on December 7, 2024, at Lynn Hall Park in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. This event marks a return to open water racing in the area after a two-year hiatus caused by Hurricane Ian, promising participants a dynamic weekend filled with competition and celebration.
Participants can look forward to racing in distances of 1 Mile and 5K during this celebration of open water swimming. The weekend will culminate in a festive event known as the Buoy Ball, co-hosted by Florida Open Water, offering a unique opportunity for swimmers to relax and connect with fellow participants.
