Race Description
The Sitrin Riggie Run & Walk is set to take place on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, New York. This annual event, which has been running for over ten years, serves as a vital fundraiser for Sitrin’s Military Program, providing support and care for post-9/11 veterans and service members dealing with various combat-related challenges.
Participants in the event will have the option to join the Riggie Challenge, where they must consume a bowl of chicken riggies during the 5K Run, or they can participate in the traditional 5K division. The event will also feature a Riggiefest, allowing community members to sample and vote for the best riggies from local restaurants after the race. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with races starting shortly after, and all preregistered participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt.
