Race Description
The Running Up for Air - Staunton Rocks event is set to take place on February 14-15, 2025, at Staunton State Park in Pine, Colorado. This endurance challenge invites participants to complete laps on a 7.1-mile marked trail loop, emphasizing the importance of community engagement in the battle for cleaner air through fundraising efforts for nonprofit organizations dedicated to air quality improvement.
Originally launched in 2017, the event has expanded in its seventh year to include team options for the 12-hour and 24-hour challenges. Runners are encouraged to fundraise for the Conservation Colorado Education Fund as they tackle the winter conditions that can include snow and ice, enhancing the challenge and raising awareness about air quality issues during the winter inversion season.
