Race Description
The Annual Runnin' For Rescues 5K/10K is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Boaz Recreation Center in Boaz, Alabama. This popular event supports the Second Chance Shelter, a non-profit, no-kill dog shelter, and aims to gather community support through sponsorship, volunteering, and participation.
Participants can expect a new race route this year, with the starting and finishing lines set at the Rec Center located at 400 Elizabeth Street. The event will feature water stations along the course, finisher medals, and age group prizes for the top three finishers. Registration is open until October 20th, and the event will occur rain or shine, ensuring a memorable day of running for a great cause.
