Race Description
The Run It Back 5K Run/Walk took place on September 30, 2023, at Zoo Miami, aiming to uplift and promote Black businesses in South Dade. Organized by the South Branch of the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce, the event engaged participants in a lively run through the zoo, where they had the chance to run past various animals while supporting a meaningful cause.
Participants of the event were awarded branded T-shirts and medals of participation, along with additional awards for the top three finishers in each age category. The morning concluded with a DJ-led send-off, vendor activities, and a group yoga session, designed to foster community spirit and relaxation among attendees. This event also served as a valuable platform for showcasing sponsorship opportunities that support local Black businesses.
