Race Description
The annual Run for the Beaches 5K & Fun Run/Walk is set to take place on December 14, 2024, along the picturesque shores of Treasure Island, Florida. This event focuses on raising funds for the preservation of the local gulf beaches ecosystem and supporting various environmental initiatives aimed at protecting marine life and endangered species such as sea turtles.
Participants can look forward to a chip-timed, out-and-back 5K race, commencing just after sunrise on the expansive, hard-packed beach. In addition to the race, attendees can enjoy a vibrant post-race celebration featuring live music, refreshments including beer and mimosas, as well as food options, awards, and raffles.
