Race Description
The Peninsula Track Club and York High School Cross Country/Track & Field will host the New Year's Day 2025 5K in Newport News, Virginia. Scheduled for January 1, 2025, the event welcomes runners, walkers, and strollers to participate in a course that is described as fast and nearly flat, set in the scenic surroundings of Newport News Park.
Participants can pick up their race bibs from 9:15 to 10:15 am at picnic shelters 19 and 20 in Newport News Park, with the race commencing at 10:30 am. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers, as well as age group awards. Online registration will close on December 30, 2024, with race day registration available for $50.
