The 4th Annual Sea Girt Polar Plunge is set to take place on February 1, 2025, in Sea Girt, NJ. The event aims to benefit the LIFT Fund for Veterans at Habitat for Humanity, which supports veterans in the Jersey Shore area by aiding their home improvement and housing needs. Participants will enjoy an after-party featuring a breakfast buffet at Rod's Tavern following the plunge.
This year's plunge is dedicated to the memory of NJ State Trooper Sgt. Juan Fajardo, who had a profound impact on the community before his tragic passing in 2021. The event seeks to honor his legacy while raising funds to help veterans through the LIFT program, which focuses on ensuring safe, affordable housing for those who've served.
