Race Description
The Over the Hill Track Club is excited to announce the return of its annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 5K run/walk, scheduled for November 28, 2024. Participants are encouraged to register early and join the community for a festive run before the Thanksgiving feast begins. Registration will open at 7:30 AM, with the race set to start at 8:30 AM at Cerro Coso College Gym Parking Lot in Ridgecrest, CA.
This year's event encourages all racers to contribute with a suggested donation of $5, which will benefit the Burroughs High School Boys and Girls Cross Country Programs. Unique Rubber Chicken awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers, alongside a variety of prizes from local merchants. Additionally, water and snacks will be available at the finish line. Participants are reminded to follow health guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.
