Race Description
The Greening Up the Mountains Annual 5k is set to take place on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, at Mark Watson Park in Sylva, North Carolina. Registration opens at 8:00 am, with the race starting promptly at 9:00 am. This event supports the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department, encouraging community engagement and physical activity.
Participants will compete for awards in various categories, including Overall Male and Female, as well as the top three finishers in multiple age groups. The course is described as relatively flat, beginning and ending at Mark Watson Park, and includes both paved and gravel sections. The first 150 registered will receive event shirts, with additional shirts available on race day while supplies last.
