Race Description
The Charles E Davis Independence Run, now in its 55th year, is set to take place on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Participants can choose between a 7-mile run or a 4-mile walk, with the race starting at 9 AM. Registrants have the option to sign up online or register on the race day at Shead High School, Eastport, Maine, where bib pick-up will also occur between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM.
All participants will be transported by bus to the respective start lines, with the bus departing from Shead High School at 8:40 AM. The event has set age group categories, with awards for the top three overall male and female participants and age group winners. Registration fees are $30 for runners and $20 for walkers, payable only by cash or check. Financial assistance for registration is available upon request to ensure that all interested individuals can participate.
