Race Description
The 3rd Annual The Extra Mile 5K is set to take place on March 22, 2025, at the Greater Wilson Rotary Park in Wilson, North Carolina. Organized by Grace Baptist Church in collaboration with Run the East, this nonprofit event aims to benefit the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at local high schools, fostering community spirit through competition and camaraderie.
Participants of all ages and abilities are encouraged to join in this event, which includes a unique challenge to complete an additional 'Extra Mile' after the official 5K. The race aims to honor the concept of 'going the second mile,' reflecting a commitment to both personal achievement and community support. Registration for the race is open, and last-minute entries will also be accepted on the day of the event.
