Race Description
The 2nd Annual You Matter Juneteenth Freedom 5k Run/Walk is scheduled to take place on June 19, 2025, at Fort Hunt Park in Alexandria, Virginia. Participants must register in advance to receive complimentary race gear, including a shirt, bib, and medal. The event aims to celebrate freedom and inspire individuals to recognize their importance in the community.
The event will kick off at 8:00 a.m. with a race start time, and participants will have 1.5 hours to complete the 3.1-mile course. Following the race, a series of activities including awards, a yoga session, and a post-race brunch featuring Nando's Peri Peri Chicken will take place, making it a community-centric day aimed at promoting positivity and unity.
