Race Description
The American Legion, 21st District is set to host its 3rd Annual "Stop the Violence" 5K Run & Walk on May 3, 2025. This event aims to raise awareness of gun violence in the Greater Birmingham area while advocating for safer neighborhoods. Participants will also support local youth charities, including the A.G. Gaston Boys and Girls Clubs and the Children's Village, among others.
On-site registrations for the event will open at Railroad Park on the day of the race from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. It's important to note that online registrations submitted after April 29, 2025, will not guarantee an event T-shirt. The event is designed to foster community engagement and support while promoting a vital cause.
