Race Description
The Winterfest 5K Run and 1.6M Fitness Walk is set to take place on February 8, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM at Small Memorial Park in Kankakee, Illinois. Participants can choose between a 5K run, which is a two-loop course, and a 1.6-mile fitness walk, which is a single loop of the same course. Registration is currently open, with various pricing tiers for participants who pre-register or register on race day.
A portion of the proceeds from the race will benefit The Salvation Army, and participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations. Awards will be given in multiple categories, including overall winners and age groups for runners, as well as recognition for the first ten finishers in the walking division. The race also features long-sleeved shirts guaranteed for pre-registrants who select the option before February 1, 2025.
