Race Description
The 5th Annual Will Haney Foundation Race of Champions is set to take place on July 26, 2025, at the Athens High School Football Stadium in Athens, Alabama. This 5K event aims to raise funds for the Will Haney Foundation Scholarship program, which supports patients and families affected by cancer and provides resources for cancer research, particularly focusing on childhood cancers.
The race course is certified by USTAF and features a combination of surfaces including a high school track, asphalt, fine gravel trails, and boardwalks, making it suitable for various types of multi-surface shoes. Participants can look forward to a flat and fast racing experience while supporting a meaningful cause that honors the memory of Will Haney, who lost his battle with childhood cancer.
