Race Description
The Paavo Nurmi Marathon, held annually in Hurley, Wisconsin, is renowned as the longest-running marathon in the state, scheduled for the second Saturday in August. This year marks its 55th iteration, featuring a certified marathon course that qualifies participants for the Boston Marathon. The event also includes a half marathon, marathon relay, and a family-friendly Twilight 5K run/walk occurring the evening before the marathon.
Participants can expect a vibrant atmosphere filled with community spirit, musical entertainment, and various food options. All finishers of the marathon, half marathon, and relay will receive commemorative tech-tops and medals. Registration is currently open for those wishing to join in on this historic event, which will culminate with the closing activities in downtown Hurley.
