Race Description
The Great Locomotive Chase 5K Run/Walk is set to take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 8:00 AM in Adairsville, Georgia. Organizers invite North Georgia runners to participate in this unique event that follows the historic tracks of the Great Locomotive Chase, marking the 163rd anniversary of the event that occurred on April 12, 1862.
The race will kick off next spring with a route that winds through the charming downtown area of Adairsville, starting and finishing near the old Train Depot. Registration details including a race packet pick-up are available on the event's website, with proceeds going to benefit Cancer Navigators, an organization dedicated to supporting cancer patients in Georgia.
