Race Description
The Goat Cliff Road Race takes place on a scenic one-mile paved route starting on Acorn Creek Road, alongside the beautiful Lake Burton in Clayton, Georgia. This race involves a demanding 500-foot climb along the renowned Sonya Road, making it a perfect challenge for avid runners and outdoor enthusiasts alike, promising breathtaking views of the serene lake and the picturesque North Georgia Mountains.
While the Goat Cliff Road is a private community road typically closed to the public, participants will have the unique opportunity to traverse this exclusive path during the race. Registration is currently open, but spaces are limited, and participants are advised to secure their spots soon to ensure parking availability on race day.
