Race Description
The Swim with Nick Ocean Race is scheduled to take place on March 23, 2025, at Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park in Dania, Florida. This event honors the memory of Nicholas Dworet, a talented swimmer and student-athlete who was lost in the tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018. The event aims to raise funds for the Nicholas Dworet Memorial Fund, which provides scholarships and support to the swimming community.
Participants can register online until March 22, 2025, and on-site registration will be available on the day of the event. The race includes a 2.4-mile event along with a 1.2-mile race, and the schedule also features a 500-meter splash to kick off the proceedings. The proceeds from this event go towards scholarships and support for special needs swimming programs, benefiting the community and honoring Nick's legacy.
