Race Description
The Strides in Solidarity 5k event will take place on November 17, 2024, at Newcomb Hall in Charlottesville, VA. Organized by the undergraduate and graduate chapters of PIH Engage at the University of Virginia, the event aims to raise funds to combat global tuberculosis, a curable disease that continues to claim millions of lives annually due to lack of access to treatment.
Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite Halloween costumes instead of traditional race t-shirts, promoting a festive atmosphere. The event will feature prizes for the top finishers in various age categories and raffle opportunities thanks to generous local business sponsors. Registration is currently open, and all are welcome to join in the effort to support tuberculosis care around the world.
