Race Description
The StRides Against Suicide & Overdose event is set to take place on August 2, 2025, in Valparaiso, Indiana. This charitable run/walk and bike ride event offers participants a choice between a 5k run/walk and bike rides of 10, 40, 60, or 100 miles, all aimed at raising funds for Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment for individuals in Northwest Indiana who are in need and cannot afford treatment.
This year's event continues the mission to combat the rising rates of suicide and drug overdoses, particularly among young adults. Funds raised from this event will provide scholarships for those who are uninsured or cannot afford necessary mental health and substance abuse services. Participation is encouraged not only to raise funds but also to spread awareness about the critical issue of mental healthcare accessibility.
