Race Description
The Snow Globe Run is set to take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024, along the Campbell Creek Trail in Anchorage, Alaska. Participants can choose to run, walk, or take part in a newly introduced snowshoe event. The race will kick off at 11:15 AM, with a snowshoe race starting slightly earlier at 11:00 AM. Additionally, a costume contest themed around 'Zoo Critters' will be held prior to the race at 10:15 AM, inviting participants to dress up for a chance to win prizes sponsored by the Peanut Farm.
As a family-friendly event dedicated to supporting the Alaska Zoo, the Snow Globe Run will feature a 4K out-and-back course that promises a flat terrain, suitable for runners and walkers of all levels. Due to insurance policies, dogs will not be allowed, and strollers are discouraged due to expected snow on the course. Bib pickup will occur on December 12, 2023, with a chance for same-day registration, and all finishers will receive a medal alongside special prizes for the top finishers.
