Race Description
The 16th annual SISU Ski Fest, a premier cross country ski race, is set to take place on January 11, 2025, in Ironwood, Michigan. This event features various race distances including the challenging 30K SISU and the 15K Heikki Lunta ski races, catering to participants of all ages with five-year age group categories.
In addition to the competitive races, the SISU Ski Fest will also include a fun 5K Hauska Hiihto for recreational skiers and a Depot Dash for kids, promoting physical activity for all ages. The festival honors Finnish cultural heritage, reflecting the endurance and perseverance inherent in the concept of 'sisu', while ensuring a festive atmosphere with improvements to the course and race festivities planned for this winter celebration.
