Race Description
The Shandon Neighborhood Council is set to host the Shandon Turkey Trot and Burn 5K on Black Friday, November 29, 2024, at 10 am. This community-centric race, managed by GRIT Endurance, LLC, invites both runners and walkers to participate while also raising funds for the neighborhood's enhancements. The event will feature a USA Track & Field certified course and will culminate in an awards ceremony at Craft and Draft.
Encouraging creativity, participants are invited to don their most festive Thanksgiving attire with prizes awarded for the top three outfits. With no refunds or deferrals and a strict start time policy, racers are advised to arrive early to ensure a smooth experience. Registration is open until October 29, 2024, for a guaranteed race shirt, emphasizing community engagement and spirited competition in the lovely backdrop of Shandon.
