Race Description
The Seeley Lake Biathlon is set to take place on February 1, 2025, at Seeley Creek Nordic Ski Trails in Seeley Lake, Montana. This citizens biathlon race welcomes participants of all levels, as no prior biathlon experience is necessary. However, racers must provide their own skiing equipment, while the event organizers will supply the necessary rifles, targets, and ammunition.
Participants can choose to race in three different distances: 3K, 7.5K, and 13.5K. It's important to note that all racers are required to attend a mandatory Gun Safety Briefing before they can take part in the event. The biathlon consists of skiing loops interspersed with shooting challenges, emphasizing safety and skill. The event is a collaborative effort between the Seeley Lake Nordic Ski Club and the Wilderness Sportsman Club, aiming to promote biathlon and firearm safety, especially among youth.
