Race Description
The SARR Great Greenway Marathon Relay is set to take place on February 2, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. This exciting event celebrates the scenic Howard Peak Greenway System, allowing teams of up to five runners to tackle a total distance of 26.2 miles through various parks along the Leon and Salado creeks. With a focus on teamwork and strategy, participants will navigate a course comprised of five legs that vary in length from 4.5 to 6.5 miles.
In addition to the race itself, this year introduces the King & Queen of the Hill award, along with multiple other awards for categories including Juniors, Open, Masters, and more. Recognizing the event's popularity, it sold out in the previous two years, prompting runners to register early for the 2025 edition. The race starts at McAllister Dog Park and ends at the Mainland trailhead, where a celebration awaits all finishers.
