Race Description
The City of San Fernando is set to host the San Fernando Valley Mile, inviting participants to run or walk their best mile in this community-focused race. Scheduled for March 1, 2025, the event will take place along the iconic Maclay Avenue, starting at 8th Street and concluding before 3rd Street. Participants of all ages are encouraged to join, with various heats designed for competitive runners as well as recreational walkers.
The event will kick off early with separate heats for elite and sub-elite runners, while also including family-friendly activities such as the Youth Mile Championship and a fun walk/run. Each participant who completes the course will receive a finisher medal and a race t-shirt. Additional details about training sessions to prepare for the race are also available for those looking to improve their mile times.
