Race Description
The 'Run Wild 5K at NC Zoo' is set to take place on Saturday, June 14, 2025, starting at 7:30 a.m. Participants will enjoy a scenic course on both paved and gravel pathways within the North Carolina Zoo, which encompasses the features typical of the region's rolling hills. Registration includes a zoo ticket and a commemorative event tee.
The start and finish lines of the race are conveniently located near Solar Point, allowing family and friends to cheer on participants from outside the zoo gates. While spectators can watch the start and finish, they won't have access to the course inside the zoo. The event promises to be exciting with the possibility of hearing the roars of lions and the howls of red wolves during the race, followed by refreshments and festivities at the finish area.
