Race Description
The Run the Monon event, organized by Indy Runners and Walkers, is set to take place on October 19, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana. This popular long run allows participants to cover either 20 miles or 11 miles along the scenic Monon Trail, with shuttles provided to transport runners to the starting points in Sheridan and Carmel.
Designed as a social training run rather than a competitive race, Run the Monon invites both runners and walkers to reconnect with the community and enjoy a leisurely day outdoors. Participants and volunteers alike can enjoy a picnic lunch following their run, fostering a spirit of camaraderie among attendees.
