Race Description
The Run for the Fallen event is set to take place on Sunday, November 10th, 2024, at Merced College, California. This year’s event will start with opening ceremonies at 8:45 AM, followed by the race kickoff at 9:00 AM, rain or shine. Originating from a tribute to fallen military heroes, this annual event has evolved over the years, attracting more than 50,000 participants who honor over 20,000 service members across the nation.
The event features both a free 5K run/walk and a 10K run, with medals awarded for the top finishers in various age categories. Participants can expect chip timing and commemorative t-shirts available for sale, with proceeds supporting the Merced Field of Honor. Registration is available on race day from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM, and a special pre-registration deadline is set for November 9th at 6:00 PM.
