Race Description
The Run for Carly Rae 5K Run & 1 Mile Run/Walk is set to take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Eugene Ashley High School in Wilmington, NC. This event aims to honor the life of Carly Rae Baron, a young woman who lost her life to gun violence in 2020. This race not only celebrates her memory but also supports a scholarship program established by the Baron family and the Alex Highsmith Family Foundation.
Participants can register online or at the pre-race packet pickup. The event will feature a timed 5K run/walk and a non-timed 1 Mile fun run/walk. Proceeds from the event help fund scholarships for New Hanover County High School seniors and support those in need, particularly cancer patients struggling with medical bills.
