Race Description
Run by the Sea is returning to Wilder Ranch State Park in Santa Cruz, California on Sunday, October 13, 2024. This year's event features a unique Half Marathon, 12K run, and 4K run/walk, allowing participants to traverse scenic coastal trails while enjoying breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. This popular race, in its ninth year, is organized by the Santa Cruz Track Club and promotes community engagement and healthy living.
The race offers a unique course predominantly on flat, packed dirt trails, with opportunities for participants to cross the beach (available for the 12K and half marathon). The event benefits local initiatives, including the youth program of the Santa Cruz Track Club, Bike Santa Cruz County, and the Santa Cruz Mountain Trail Stewards.
