Race Description
The Rosie the Riveter Run & Picnic, hosted by the Leander Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center and the City of Leander, is set to take place on March 24, 2025, at Lakewood Park. This empowering event features a 5K run and a casual fun run, along with a community picnic. Participants are encouraged to embrace the spirit of Rosie the Riveter by wearing themed apparel as they join together to promote resilience and solidarity.
The event will offer a unique running experience through Lakewood Park's sculpture garden, with options suitable for both seasoned runners and casual participants. The 5K course includes uneven terrain, while the fun run is a flat, stroller-friendly option. All participants will receive a commemorative shirt and a picnic lunch, and awards will be presented to top finishers in various age categories.
