Race Description
The Rescue Run is set to return to the Norris-Penrose Events Center in Colorado Springs, CO, on January 1, 2025. This annual event has a rich history dating back to its inception in 1979, originally taking place at the same venue before transitioning to Palmer Park in 1995. After a virtual event in 2021 due to the Covid pandemic, the race returned to its traditional location, offering runners a scenic experience on the trails of Bear Creek Park East.
Participants can register for either the 5K or 10K events, both starting at 10:00 AM. It is essential for runners to be aware of course conditions, as there may be ice in certain sections of the trails. Additionally, early online registration is required, as there will be no same-day registration available. Proceeds from the event support the El Paso County Search and Rescue, emphasizing the community spirit behind this race.
