Race Description
The Rainbow Weekend Drag Race 5K is set to take place on October 11, 2024, in Kent, Ohio. This annual event, part of Main Street Kent's Rainbow Weekend, is designed to support Kent State University's LGBTQ+ Emergency Fund, which provides critical financial assistance to students in need. Participants are encouraged to express themselves in drag, a form of performance art, as they walk, jog, or roll along the scenic 5K route that begins and ends at North Water Brewing Company.
Registration for the event is currently open and will vary in price depending on the date of sign-up, with tickets ranging from $25 to $35. Each ticket includes a custom tie-dye event t-shirt (limited availability), a medal, and access to the End of the Rainbow Party afterwards, where a portion of drink sales will benefit the LGBTQ+ Emergency Fund. The Drag Race 5K invites the community to come together and celebrate pride while supporting an important cause.
