Race Description
The "Racin' the Station" Duathlon is set to take place on September 28, 2024, at the Army's Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. This unique Run/Bike/Run event allows participants to compete against the International Space Station (ISS), aiming to finish the race in under 91 minutes and 12 seconds, which is the time it takes for the ISS to complete one orbit around Earth.
The event features a 3.14 km run, a 23 km bike ride, followed by another 3.14 km run. Participants will need to arrange for access to the military base, with options for obtaining recreation badges available for locals. Those without base access will need to find a way to enter with the help of someone who does, or through a process coordinated by the race director during registration.
