Race Against Violence 5K

On October 19, 2024, Riverview Park in Lock Haven will host the Race Against Violence 5K, a community initiative aimed at raising funds and awareness for Roads To Peace and the Ron Dailey Scholarship Fund. The event commemorates firefighter Ron Dailey, who tragically lost his life in January 2024, with registration starting at 9:00 am, ahead of the race kickoff at 10:00 am.

The Race Against Violence 5K is designed to be family-friendly and dog-friendly, welcoming both competitive and casual participants. This year's theme, "Champions of Change," highlights various forms of violence to increase awareness, including gun violence, domestic violence, child abuse, mental health issues, and sexual violence. With community support, the event aims to provide essential resources to survivors while honoring the legacy of Ron Dailey.
