Race Description
The Project Children Picnic + 5K Fundraiser is set to take place on October 20, 2024, at Rockland GAA in Orangeburg, New York. This event aims to raise essential funds for Project Children, a volunteer-run organization that has positively impacted over 23,000 children and families in Northern Ireland over the past five decades. The fundraiser is part of initiatives leading up to the organization’s 50th anniversary in 2025.
As part of the event, attendees will enjoy a community picnic alongside the 5K run, with proceeds going towards the archival efforts of Project Children and the establishment of the Monaghan Peace Campus. This initiative focuses on documenting and sharing peace stories through the experiences of children involved in the project. Participants and supporters are encouraged to join and contribute to this meaningful cause.
