Race Description
The Pleasant Ridge Backyard Ultra, hosted by Greenville County Recreation, is set to commence on January 25, 2025, at 8:00 AM at the Pleasant Ridge Camp and Retreat Center in Greenville, South Carolina. This unique endurance race challenges participants to run as many 4.1 mile laps as possible each hour, emphasizing perseverance over speed.
The race invites runners of all abilities to test their limits in a supportive environment. With an entry fee of $85 until September 30 and $100 thereafter, participants can also enjoy camping before the event. Notably, every runner will receive a DNF camp mug even if they are unable to finish, solidifying the race's spirit of endurance and effort. The course includes sections of the JFA trail and paved paths, providing both beauty and challenge throughout the event.
