Race Description
The annual Pedestrian Safety Month & Logan Dark Memorial Walk, Run, or Ride is scheduled to take place on October 6, 2024, in Katy, Texas. This community event aims to honor the memory of Logan Dark, a freshman who tragically lost his life in a vehicular accident while biking to school. Following the precedent set last year, participants are invited to gather to recognize both Logan and the importance of pedestrian and cyclist safety.
Participants can choose from several routes that include a 1-mile family-friendly out-and-back or a 4-mile ride or run loop along marked hike-and-bike trails. There is no registration fee; however, an online waiver must be completed. In addition to the activities, attendees will enjoy treats such as popsicles, playgrounds, and opportunities to engage in friendly conversations in the community.
