Race Description
The annual Parker Parks and Recreation Turkey Day 5K FUN Run/Walk is set to take place on November 28, 2024. This family-friendly event encourages participants to celebrate Thanksgiving by engaging in a fun workout at the Parker Recreation Center. With registration currently open, runners can anticipate a casual atmosphere where strollers are welcome, though for safety, pet dogs, bikes, and scooters are advised to stay at home.
Participants will have a choice of enjoying hot cocoa, cider, or coffee post-race, and all registrants will receive a commemorative item and a souvenir race bib. The event is not officially timed, and registration costs $34, increasing to $39 after November 14th. Proceeds from this race will support the Town of Parker's Scholarship Program, ensuring that local residents with limited financial resources can access recreation programs and facilities.
